incorporate mainstream styles and technique, enabling
students to adapt to the demands of Russian, Balanchine,
and Bournonville classes and repertory.

A 6–week, Integrated
Training Program
Intensive
Program– Intermediate to Advanced
A progressive & developmental program for the students on Classical
Ballet and Contemporary Dance Techniques with supplementary classes in Jazz,
Tap, Character Dance and Modern– a complete dance training package. Other
classes include Conditioning to help prevent injury by strengthening support
muscle groups for dancers. To understand the demands of repertory pieces,
students will learn the principles of Composition & Choreography,
encouraging them to create their own pieces. Theatre and French classes.

GUEST TEACHERS
Alexander Boitsov–Danced with the Donetsk Ballet in Russia and
trained under the Vaganova Method. Director of the International Ballet Academy.
International teacher and coach.
Guest Teachers–Ballet and Contemporary Dance
- The summer program has featured guest teachers in
classical ballet and contemporary dance from the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre,
Dutch National Ballet, Donetsk Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre among
others. The teachers introduce the students to varied styles of dance including
Horton, Limon and Graham for Contemporary Dance, and Bournonville and Russian in
Classical Ballet.

TO REGISTER
NEW Students for Summer Intensive 2010: Call to arrange for an evaluation
class. In lieu of an evaluation class, enclose a video of yourself in a current
ballet class. There is a Non–refundable
$ 25.00 Application and Evaluation Fee. Ask about the Full program
and weekly Tuition Rates.
Students of Dance Conservatory: Evaluations will be sent. Fill in registration
form for the summer program. Submit at the desk.
TUITION POLICIES:
TUITION IS NON–REFUNDABLE
• Tuition is due at the student’s first class of the month.
• There is a $ 15.00 Registration fee for new students.
• A $ 10.00 billing fee will be added to billing statements sent.
• There is a $ 25.00 charge for returned checks.
DRESS CODE
Introductory Classes–
Pre Ballet– pink tights, pink tank leotard and pink skirt; pink slippers. Dance
Camps– Ballet– pink tights, pink/blue leotard, pink skirt, pink
ballet slippers;
Jazz & Tap– black leotard, tan tights, jazz and tap shoes.
Intensive Program: Pink Tights, Int 1–light blue leotard, Int 2–navy
leotard, Adv– black leotard, pink ballet slippers/point shoes (as specified by
teacher). Hair Pulled into a bun.
