ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

TERESA EMMONS

Teresa Emmons earned her post graduate degree in Dance from The Juilliard School in New York. She has danced professionally with the San Diego Ballet, The State of Alabama Ballet (now Ballet South), and all over the United States in a wide variety of classical and contemporary roles. She has choreographed and conducted classes for regional and professional dance companies including Philadanco, Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.

Mrs. Emmons has coached dancers for international ballet competitions such as The Prix Du Lausanne, the New York International Ballet Competition, and the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), now the world’s largest international ballet competition. She was also the Regional Director of the Youth America Grand Prix, America’s first international ballet and contemporary dance competition for serious dance students that awards scholarships to schools including the Joffrey Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School in London and the School of American Ballet in New York, and the Paris Opera Ballet School. The top award is an Apprenticeship Contract to America Ballet Theatre.


With Dr. Angela Smith, current head of Orthopedics at the A.I. Dupont Institute, she conducted clinics for dancers in injury prevention and rehabilitation.

She designed Dover High School’s NEW Academy of the Arts Program. Dover High School’s dance residency program had earned “Best Practices in Education” and “Most Innovative Grant” Awards. The Academy’s dance program students have consistently earned scholarships and acceptances to institution schools, colleges and universities.

She is part of a collaborative team organized by the University of Delaware in exploring interdisciplinary collaboration in Music, Theatre, Poetry, Visual Arts and Dance.

EPHESIA MOODY

TEACHER - BALLET, JAZZ MODERN, REPERTORY

Ephesia attended the Cab Calloway School of the Arts in Wilmington. She is an alumna of Pieces of A Dream Academy, a dance school and performing company based in Wilmington. She has taught modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and majorette at Wilmington Ballet, and at the POAD Academy. She is currently on the faculty of the Delaware Center for Dance. She has performed at Disney World with Delaware State University's dance team. She will be graduating in 2024 from Delaware State University, major in Business Administration.

DR. TAMIKA POTTS-SPEARS

TEACHER - CONTEMPORARY, MUSICAL THEATRE, HIP HOP, AFRO-CARIBBEAN

Tamika is the founder and Artistic Director of Spektrum Dance Division and Nye Gyame LLC, a dance company and education program utilized to break cultural and health-based barriers through dance. Dr. Potts brings over 30 years of dance experience and training in mulltiple genres of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, West African, Hip-hop, Lyrical and Liturgical dance. She believes in the benefits of dance and views it as more than an art form, but also a way of life.

AMBER CLIFFORD

TEACHER - TAP, HIPHOP, JAZZ, MUSICAL THEATRE, BALLET

Amber Clifford grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She has performed lead roles in musicals and was filmed in a commercial for a dance magazine. She was trained in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary Dance.

KIM ROBERTS

TEACHER - BELLY DANCE

Kim Roberts (Kimala Nar) is a professional Bellydancer from the Delmarva area. She is skilled in Oriental/Cabaret style & Fusion style. Kimala Nar holds certifications in Bohemian Bellydance where she is a Level 6 Boho Blade & a Certified Boho Fundamental Instructor. She holds certifications in Kami Liddle’s Krysalis- Invocation and Zoe Jakes’ Dance Craft – Key of Diamonds. Kimala Nar has never met a prop she doesn’t like.  You might see her performing with swords, sais, veils, fan veils or canes.  Kimala Nar performs throughout the DE/MD/VA/DC/PA area as a soloist, with Dendarah Nar or with Bohemian Bellydance.

KYLEE LEHNERT

TEACHER - BALLET, JAZZ, TAP

Kylee was a student of the Conservatory & trained in the Teacher Apprentice Program of the School. She excels in Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Contemporary. She has danced the Bluebird variation from "Sleeping Beauty", Ribbon Fairy, Spanish and Marzipan from "Nutcracker". She was memorable as Athena in "Of Gods and Mortals", and in Aries in "Kosmos". Her choreography piece was a finalist at the "Solos@Home" Choreography Competition.
