Were the words of George Balanchine before he began his legacy with the New York City Ballet. The Dance Conservatory shares the same vision. Although we are dedicated to preparing students for a professional performance career, we are more importantly committed to nurturing the young creative minds and channeling their expression through the language of dance.

The Dance Conservatory offers a Classical Ballet based program with supplementary classes in numerous other dance styles and affiliated arts including Jazz, Modern, Tap, Theatre, AcroDance, Voice, and more. Repertory, Performance, and Company classes are designed to challenge students to apply technical aptitude and stylistic awareness to diverse choreographed pieces. Our company, Ballet Theatre of Dover (BTD), is made up of select students of the school and offers these dancers invaluable performance opportunities.
